can anyone tell me an estimate about how much it would be to get ballroom dancing lessons. im looking for a single group or private lesson. im a teen if that helps.

  2. Most studios charge $8 - $15 for group lessons in my area. Private lessons (meaning for one person or for a couple) are $65-$120. If you want to practice on your own - floor fee is around $10 per couple per day. If you are in LA or San Francisco check out Genesis Dance Academy, they specialize in teaching children and teens. NY and Utah also has schools specifically for childen and teens, I believe. Their pricing system works differently, tailored to the needs and abilities of teens. Usually, it’s a “club” system where you pay like $100 per month, get unlimited access to all group classes and half price discount for private lessons, or somethign like that. If you live in neither one of those areas, you might want to look into local colleges, some colleges like BYU, MIT, Harvard, Berkeley, Stanford, San Diego have really good ballroom teams. Often enough you don’t have to be a student at that college in order to dance with the team. I’m with my college team, our team group classes are $5 with any student ID. Look around and see what’s available in your area.

  3. It will depend on the dance studio. I go to Berryville, Va Social Graces and the group lessons are $65 for singles and $120 for couples. This allows you to go as many times in the month that you can go. I myself, do alternate Weds and go every Thurs and Fri., so I’m getting about 11+ dance lessons. Then we also have two monthly dances on alternating Sat. w/free mini lesson before the dance. It’s loads of fun!!!!

  4. Lots of places offer inexpensive group classes, in the range of ten or twenty dollars an hour. Private hours vary considerably. In my area, they range from US$45 to $85, and coachings can be a bit more on occasion. These are basic prices, and it isn’t unusual to get discounts for special little packages.
